Talks & Teaching
I currently teach design at NYU, and am on the board of ProtoToto, a design lab for kids. I previously taught at the graduate level at Pratt, the School of Visual Arts, and California College of the Arts.
I have been a featured speaker on design and technology at US and international events, and have written on technology and design for VentureBeat, FastCompany, and Business Insider.
My research project on death in the digital age (“NecroTech”) led me to speak at conferences including SXSW Interactive, San Francisco Design Week, IxDA, and EndWell. I also co-created and taught a class at the d.School called “Designing for Death,” based on my research.
